Dive to 30 m in a real submarine and watch shipwrecks and fish from your own porthole.
Dive 25 to 30 metres beneath the Atlantic aboard a real tourist submarine, setting off from Amarilla Marina in the south of Tenerife. Everyone sits in front of one of its 22 large portholes to watch the shipwrecks on the seabed and the fish in their natural habitat, while a multilingual audio guide explains what comes into view and a screen shows the depth and the water temperature. The cabin stays at surface pressure and is air-conditioned, so you do not feel the depth and it does not rock like a boat. The dive lasts about 50 minutes; with boarding, around an hour.
Yes. It is the «Sub Fun Cinco», a 44-passenger submarine with 22 large portholes, 11 on each side, and two even bigger ones at the ends. It dives to between 25 and 30 metres, where most of the marine life lives. It is not a glass-bottom boat.
Yes, from the age of 2. For safety reasons the operator does not take children under 2 under any circumstances.
Yes. The submarine keeps normal pressure inside, the same as on the surface, so it does not affect pregnant women, people with ear problems or anyone with a heart condition.
A submarine does not rock like a boat. Inside it is roomy and bright, with a central aisle: it feels like a small plane, except the seats face outwards with a big window in front of each one. If you are still unsure, tell us and we will talk it through before you book.
The operator runs a bus that picks up daily in Playa de las Américas, Los Cristianos, Costa Adeje, Playa Paraíso and Callao Salvaje, and once a week in Puerto de Santiago and Los Gigantes. Tell us where you are staying and we will confirm the stop and the time.
No. Getting on and off the submarine means climbing two short vertical ladders.
Food is not included, but the marina has a café and facilities, and there is a little time before and after the dive to look around.
